Hemorrhoid.com is owned and run by Revivol-XR, the maker of the hemorrhoid care products sold on this site. This page explains who writes what you read here, where the information comes from, and what "Medically reviewed" means when you see it.
Articles are written and edited by Revivol-XR staff and published under the byline Revivol-XR Editorial Team. The company's name, address and phone number are on the About page and on the editorial team page.
We write to the FDA's over-the-counter monograph for anorectal drug products (21 CFR Part 346) and to the Drug Facts labeling it requires. For medical background we rely on published guidance from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Gastroenterology, the Mayo Clinic and, for pregnancy and postpartum topics, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Where an article states a medical fact, it should link to one of these sources. Tell us if one does not.
An article or product page that carries a "Medically reviewed by" note has been read and approved by the licensed clinician named in the note, on the date shown. The reviewer checks the medical statements, the safety warnings and the product wording. Pages without that note have not been clinically reviewed and should be read as general information.
Revivol-XR products are over-the-counter products for the temporary relief of hemorrhoid symptoms. We keep product statements inside the wording of each product's Drug Facts label. We do not claim that any product cures, heals or prevents hemorrhoids or any other condition. Customer reviews shown on product pages are collected from verified orders by a third-party review app and published as received.
Each article shows its publication date. If you find an error, write to info@hemorrhoid.com with the page link and we will correct it or explain why we disagree.
Nothing on Hemorrhoid.com is a substitute for care from your own doctor, pharmacist or other licensed provider. Bleeding, severe pain, a lump that does not go back in, or symptoms that do not improve within seven days of using an OTC product are reasons to be seen.
